Hand carving is when we shave a plush carpet until we acquire desire design or define the line between our custom border rugs. Hand carving a custom rug requires a unique skill because once you start carving carpet it doesn’t grow back that’s why we have the best custom rug makers in the USA.

It’s basically a rug with a center color and a deferent color around it.
A custom border rug can be made with different types or carpet, woven, plush, Berbers, loop and many more.
Tapestry /blind stitch custom rugs
Tapestry blind stitch rugs (fabric wrap rugs) this technique is mostly use in natural fiber area rugs but can be use on any custom area rug we basically sew a fabric around the edge of a rug to you specific size 1to 7 inch depending on the fabric and fold it to hide the stitch to give you a border look.
This can be done with several types of fabrics leather, chenille, cotton and more.

Custom Logo and design rugs
These area rugs are done by first making a template of the desire logo or design next we start cutting the carpet according to the template and we repeat the process with each color until we have every color needed, now its assembling time we put the pieces back together like a puzzle and we add hot glue and screen tape to keep our master piece together next we apply a soft or rubber backing to hide the work. And that’s how you make a logo rug (We still cut our carpet by hand, some company’s buy computerize machines that do the cutting)

Carpet Binding and Serging
Narrow binding it’s the least expensive way of finishing a custom area rug, narrow binding is a small tape (synthetic or cotton) that its applied to the raw edge of the rug to give it a finish look and to help it from unraveling. This edge treatment shows about 1/2 of an inch of tape around the edges.
Wide binding it’s  about 3 inches wide   made out  of cotton this edge treatment show about 11/2 of tape around the edge of the area rug. We use this method on most of our natural area rugs be can be used on any custom area rug.

Serging is (yarn wool, nylon some company’s use cotton) this edge treatment is yarn looped around the edge of the rug to give it a more elegant finishing look  this edge treatment shows about  1/2 of inch around the custom area rug.
